GEREDIS promotes and implements the use of Geographic Information Systems in Public Administrations and private organizations as a means to improve their governance and management policies in their activities and services performed. Thus together with the development of interactive maps, data models and geoprocessing GEREDIS can generate cartography or topography and thematic maps necessary for the application in question.

GEREDIS using different sources of raster or vector data, obtained with very different technologies and media (satellite, aircraft, boats, and terrestrial) has a great concern for developing new applications, validate or enhance existing based on advanced analysis of such data as may be from multispectral or hyperspectral imaging to LAS data.  GEREDIS can also participate in the development of sensors and systems for data storage and distribution of the information collected or processed.

GEREDIS likewise shows great interest in using solutions of GNSS and UAV systems, and to implement new developments for civil applications, which in its geomatics side especially could help for a better management of these sectors ie sectors such as agriculture, water, Urbanism and Spatial Planning, Environmental, and Architectural and Historic Heritage for example.
